EDGE Certification for SHIFA Project Contractors
We complete the EDGE certification requirement in EU-funded SHIFA health centre construction, run by the Ministry of Health and CEB, in line with your progress payment and acceptance schedule.
What is the SHIFA Project?
SHIFA – Strengthening Health Infrastructure for All is a health infrastructure programme financed by the European Union and run by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye with the support of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB). Under the programme, about 60 new health centres (ASM/GSM/GGSM) are being built in more than 20 provinces, 23 health centres are being renovated and hospital physiotherapy units are being set up. Implementation runs until the end of 2027.
Where does the EDGE requirement come from?
In health centre construction works under SHIFA, the project and technical specification require the buildings to obtain IFC EDGE green building certification. The certificate is obtained by the contractor and is part of the acceptance process. Completed SHIFA health centres are published in the EDGE App with the "Ministry of Health of Türkiye" as client, mostly at the EDGE Advanced level.
